About Banbeis:
Bangladesh Bureau of Education Information and Statistics (BANBASE) is the only government agency in the country for collecting, storing, distributing and disseminating educational data and statistics in education management. In the financial year 1986-8, the company started functioning as a joint department of the Ministry of Education. The organization has been acclaimed by national and international organizations for its involvement in the continuous development of the education sector by producing and supplying educational information. Apart from education and statistics activities, Banbase is playing an important role in the implementation of Vision 2021 and SDG of the present government in the field of ICT training and expansion of ICT education.

 

About Upazila ICT Training and Resource Center for Education (UITRCE):
Under the Economic Development and Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of the Government of Korea, with the financial support of Exim Bank, UITRCE has been set up in 125 upazilas with the aim of expanding ICT education in the country, including providing ICT training to teachers and providing e-services at the grassroots level. Hon'ble Prime Minister of the Government of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina inaugurated these centers on March 2, 2016. Since then, the activities of this center have been in full swing. Through these centers, about 1 lakh teachers have received training on ICT by June 2017. Under the plan to set up centers in all the upazilas of the country, UITRCE is being constructed in 160 upazilas in the second phase. In the 3rd phase, the work of setting up UITRCE in all the remaining upazilas of the country will be completed.

The recruitment process has been completed by creating the posts of Assistant Programmer, Computer Operator, Lab Assistant and Security Guard, Cleaner in the UITRCE Centers.

Every teacher needs to be trained and trained in ICT as mentioned in the ICT Policy 2009. It has also been asked to provide access to information facility to all citizens of the country.

The center is currently a unique-general facility at the upazila level, a 2-storey building with a 4-storey foundation. Our office in Chauddagram Upazila has been playing a very important role in building skilled human resources through training in ICT and increasing the quality of ICT education.

By playing an important role in the education and ICT sector, these "Upazila ICT Training and Resource Centers for Education (UITRCE)" are working at the grassroots level to implement the Government's Vision-2021, Sustainable Development Goals-2030 (SDGs) and Ropkalp-2041. Above all, these UITRCE centers can make a significant contribution to the development of Sonar Bangla.
